One of my favorite foods lately are avocado’s. They have been a huge staple in my low carb diet. You can practically add them to any recipe and it will turn out amazing! Not only are they healthy fats but there are so many recipes you can make using avocado’s. Some just the standard guacamole while other’s use them in desserts. Lately I have been eating them sliced up with my bacon and eggs for breakfast or wrapping them in bacon – YUM!
I was reading some facts about avocado on-line which, I found interesting. Avocado is a great source of vitamins C, E and K. Plus they are a heart-healthy fat with its Omega 3 fatty acids. Ancient Aztecs used avocado to beautify their skin topically with avocado masks. In the early 20th century the cosmetic industry discovered the benefits of its oil in creams, lotions, facial cleansers and other products that required a smooth application. Many products today have avocado oils that you can find almost anywhere!
