About Me

Welcome to my blog! My name is Nicole, the mama behind Mama to 5 Blessings; a blog geared to parenting! With topics such as family travel, homeschooling, kids crafts, parenting tips, kid friendly recipes, family product reviews and more!

Mama to 5 Blessings began in 2009 as Mama to 3 Blessings (my husband and I had 3 children at the time). I started blogging to share about my homeschool journey and to encourage other homeschool moms.

Some of my other passions are first and foremost my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, my family, breastfeeding and  cloth diapering.

So why is my blog named Mama to 5 Blessings? My husband Fritz and I had our 5th baby in 2013 so my blog has had a few name changes since I started blogging. When I started blogging in 2009 my blog was Mama to 3 Blessings, then Mama to 4 Blessings when baby 4 came along now Mama to 5 Blessings in 2013 when baby 5 joined our family. Who knows, hopefully someday it will be Mama to 6 Blessings!

I love being a mom. Being an only child I never dreamed of having just one child. I hated being the only child so to me 5 children is not a lot.  I am constantly asked are those all your children? Yes, they are and I am truly blessed!

We have 3 boys ages 9 years, 7 years and 3 years old. Then we have 2 girls ages 5 years and 17 months. Plus I am praying for God’s will for baby 6. I would love to be a Mama to 6 blessings!

It’s funny how different all 5 of them are. Our oldest son is laid back, loves karate and building with Lego’s while our 8 year old son never stops maybe that is why is so good at sports. His passion is soccer and playing with Lego’s with his older brother. When our 1st daughter was born everyone told me that she would be a tomboy because of her 2 older brothers but that is far from the truth. She is a prissy little girl who likes dresses and hair bows. Now our 4 year old son can hold his own, nothing phases him. While he is a brute and a lover all rolled into one. Our baby is strong willed and has everyone wrapped around her little finger!

Being a mom of many it’s all about balance. No one said being a mom was an easy task but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love being a mom! Along with the many hats I wear, my most important job is to raise Godly children who love the Lord as I do, to go out and to make a difference!

Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.

My quiver is full and what a blessing it is!
