Eating Good In My Neighborhood At Applebee’s

My husband are I busy with our six kids so date nights come far and few between.  Sometimes it’s nice to have a few minutes to be able to have a conversation with no  interruptions or chaos. So we are making more of an effort to have date night more frequently. Recently my husband and I decided to go have a nice meal together.  We wanted to go somewhere with great food while we could sit and enjoy each other’s company.  Thankfully we decided on Applebee’s.  

 

Applebee’s recently announced its new American-made, wood-fired grills as the centerpiece of nearly 2,000 U.S. locations and is inviting guests to follow the enticing aroma of American Oak smoke into their neighborhood Applebee’s to try a new Hand-Cut, Wood Fired Grill item.

 

Applebee’s has introduced hand-cut wood fired offerings including USDA Choice Top Sirloin Steaks and Bone-in Pork Chops which is completely unique and new menu items for Applebee’s.  This new menu highlights elevated quality, flavor and freshness of its dishes. 

The new certified USDA Choice Hand-Cut Wood Fired Steaks and Bone-In Pork Chops are hand-cut by trained meat cutters through a comprehensive process to ensure the highest quality, freshness and optimal thickness. The restaurants have renovated kitchens, revamped menus and selected these trained chefs to be the official in-house Meat Cutters where they start with a whole sirloin or bone-in pork rack, evaluate and then cut each perfect steak or chop with their American-made knife exclusively designed for Applebee’s meat cutters.

 

My husband and I started off with the Brisket Quesadilla which is grilled tortillas that are loaded with shredded beef brisket, fresh pico and a blend of melted Cheddar cheeses. Served with our green chile sauce and our chipotle lime salsa. Definitely hit the spot while we waited for our entree. 

 It was so hard to order off the new menu because of  so many delicious choices!  My husband and I both decided to order the 1/2 Rack Baby Back Ribs and 6 oz. USDA Select Sirloin which Grilled USDA Select Top Sirloin with a half rack of baby back ribs (choice of Spicy Texas BBQ or Honey BBQ sauce) served with steamed broccoli, garlic mashed potatoes, signature coleslaw and onion tanglers. Thankfully Applebee’s is accommodating because they allowed be to have double broccoli instead of mashed potatoes due to my low carb diet. 

As if that was not enough we did treat ourselves to a mouth watering dessert.   The Triple Chocolate Meltdown was warm, rich, fudge-filled chocolate cake is drizzled with hot fudge along with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream. No other words can describe it other than YUM!

Our meal was delicious and the service was wonderful. The staff was very attentive.  We definitely will go back for another date night.  You definitely get alot for your buck with this new menu!  Have you tried any of the items off Applebee’s new menu?
