My favorite memory is spending that last Christmas with my father in law. Though he had been very ill for awhile, he was so happy with my children. He passed last year and we miss him dearly.

We moved around so much while I was growing up since Dad was in the Air Force, but we had our traditions no matter where we were. My favorite was Christmas Eve gathered around the beautiful tree with hot chocolate. We would open one gift each then watch The Snowman & Charlie Brown Christmas. I’ve carried that tradition over with my daughters.

My favorite Christmas memory is driving with my mom and dad to my grandmother’s house in Maine even though my dad was sometimes stationed far from home. I loved it when she made us homemade cookies with a big mug of hot chocolate to go with it.
