I am an eclectic homeschooler.  We use curriculum’s from various places but also incorporating games, crafts and other fun activities into our learning.  A resource that we use frequently are our tablets, downloading educational Apps so that not only can they play but learn at the same time. A fantastic learning App we recently downloaded is Basic Math Skills for School with Numbie

Ever since I downloaded this game on my iPad my kids have not wanted to stop playing. For my preschooler he is learning his numbers, shapes, memorization, colors, matching, following directions all while reinforcing his thinking skills. My six year old is using Numbie to refresh her addition and subtraction skills.  The fun characters along with the whimsical characters make kids want to keep playing and learning.

Children can practice their knowledge and solve colorful puzzles in a fun, engaging and exciting way, learn new material and explore the world. With constant updates and new exercises, the mini games will always have a new challenge to keep your kid coming back and eager to learn. I think the mini game option is a great feature because once each mini game has ended my kids feel like they accomplished a new level and are thrilled to move onto the next one.

The best thing about this app is that it is FREE! Kids can learn and have fun at home on the go by downloading this App on Apple and/or Android devices.  How are your children learning their math skills? I am sure they would love this App as much as my kids do!
