Yum
My husband came home from the store recently with two pre-made graham cracker pie crusts which he bought for less than .50 each. I know they are so easy to make yourself but he could not resist buying some because they were such a great price. I looked at the pie crusts and thought what am I going to do with these? Then I realized there is so much I could make with them. I decided to do something different with the crust so I came up a simple recipe.
- 1 Graham Cracker Pie Crust
- Vanilla Ice Cream
- Caramel Syrup (I used Hershey's Caramel Syrup)
- Let the ice cream sit out for a few moments prior to preparation. Once the ice cream is a bit soft with a spatula add to the pie crust half way and then add 2 tablespoons of caramel syrup to the ice cream and gently mix then continue adding the ice cream to the top of the crust, smoothing it out the whole time. Then drizzle caramel syrup over the top and place in the freezer until ready to eat!
- The great thing about this recipe is that kids can help make it too!
I am amazed how much you can do with these pie crusts. With the second pie crust he bought my son made chocolate pudding and added it to the crust making pudding pie which was good too. Yum
What is your favorite pie? What kind of pies do you like to make?
