Cinderella Inspired Cookies

Yum

I was on pins and needles waiting for the new Cinderella Movie to come to the theaters Friday.  My family decided to go see the movie at the drive in opening day.  I wanted to make something for us to enjoy as a treat while we watched the movie. So I decided to make homemade cookies.

Cookies
  1. 2 Cups of All Purpose Flour
  2. 1/4 Tsp. Salt
  3. 3/4 Cup Softened Unsalted Butter
  4. 1 Large Egg
  5. 1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
Topping
  1. 1/4 Cup Sugar
  2. Blue Food Coloring
  3. White Pearl Shimmer Sixlets Candy
For Cookies
  1. Combine all the dry ingredients together in a large bowl and mix. Next add the wet ingredients (butter, egg, vanilla) mix until everything is combined. Do not over mix. You can roll out the dough or you can do what I did, I took clumps of dough and flattened them and pressed the cookie cutter in the dough and then peeled the access dough off and used it for the next cookie.
For the Topping
  1. Add the 1/4 sugar and 10 drops of blue food coloring in a mixer and mix until fully combined. Once all the cookie circles are cut out drizzle the tops of the cookies with the blue sugar topping.
  2. Preheat oven at 325 degrees. Bake for 15 minutes. Once the cookies come out of the over quickly add the White Pearl Shimmer Sixlets candy to the tops.
  3. Allow to cool, serve, enjoy!
