How Our Homeschool Family Learns Up Close – Gross! Almost Wordless Wednesday With Linky

This is how homeschoolers have fun! Gross fun! Last week our homeschool group did an human body class and the kids actually got to touch real cow organs! Gross, huh? My boys loved it, my daughter not so much. My oldest son is holding up a cow’s heart and the other photo’s the kids are touching intestines, kidneys and other organs. My 7 year old son at 1st was not receptive to it, if you look he covered his nose with his shirt, I cannot blame him – it stunk!

  1. The expressions on their faces say it all, haha!

  2. That’s really interesting that the kids get to see and feel organs of the animals. Happy WW

  3. Looks like a fun experience if you ask me. Not for the nose tho =P

I dont think we ever did this in school before. The most that we did is study and dissect frogs.

  4. Well I guess this is a good experience for them, I wouldnt care for it myself.

  16. That’s awesome! It’s certainly something they will all remember!

  17. Your children are so much braver than I am as I could not have done this. We had to dissect a frog in High School and I was sick and then we had to touch a Heart and I ended up leaving school sick so I am proud of them for being able to handle all this.

  18. There is definately a great deal to know about this subject.
I love all the points you have made.
