Ever since I was a child I have loved caramel. When it came to candy Werther’s Original was my favorite caramel candy too! So needless to say I am thrilled with their new product. Werther’s Baking Carmels!
These delicious baking caramels are so addicting! Before we baked some of the recipes I couldn’t help but not try one and then one turned into a few! You just cannot just eat one! These delicious morsels are rich and creamy and make a perfect ingredient for baking!
We decided to test them out at a Mommy Party at our home. First my husband made homemade vanilla ice cream and then melted the Werther’s Original Baking Carmels and drizzled it over the ice cream. The Baking Caramels was nice and creamy and made a delicious topping!
The next recipe that we made was Caramel Brownies. This recipe is super easy to make and they were a hit with the guests!
Ingredients:
1 box brownie mix for a 13″ X 9″ pan
1 pkg of 9 oz. Werther’s Original Baking Caramels (unwrapped)
1 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray the pan with a non-stick cooking spray. Prepare the brownie mix as per directions on package. Cool for 10 minutes. Next microwave the caramel and milk on high for 1 1/2 minutes or until melted, stirring after 1 1/2 minutes. Then stir in vanilla extract, drizzle caramel mixture over baked brownies. Let cook and then serve.
This recipe was so easy to make giving a quick normal boring brownie mix a good sprucing! The Baking Caramels made the brownies even more gooey and moist!
The possibilities are endless when baking with Werther’s Original Baking Caramel’s. Especially this time of the year when baking it in full fledged with the holidays quickly approaching! For November you can use them for making caramel apples or an Apple Tart. For Christmas you can pass them out in a pretty container as a gift or use in baking your favorite holiday dessert!

Those brownies look AMAZING! I love Werther’s! I have some of their Carmel Popcorn here at home and it’s so yummy!
My aunt always had these at her house growing up. To this day whenever I eat one I think of her and all the good times I had there with my cousin!
