I love when my kids take it upon themselves to create. Especially from recycled materials. My husband installed some cabinets in our upstairs hallway that we purchased from IKEA. The cabinet doors came in then boxes, so my kids decided to do some artwork on these boxes.
What did they do with their masterpieces? Used them as walls to make a fort! Them them use their imaginations and create! The final result — a fort!

Thanks so much for hosting! You just can’t beat boxes for entertainment for kids!!Looks like fun!
My kids pounce on a package like it’s going out of style needing to claim that box.
Cardboard boxes are SO much fun! My children really enjoy them too.
I think some of the most fun my kids have EVER had has been with boxes that were delivered and quickly emptied!
I love how creative kids are! One of my daughter’s favorite things ever was a giant box from a home renovation project that my husband cut a door into. She LOVED her “play house,” and spent hours decorating it.
This is such a fun idea. My kids love playing with packing material.
How fun! My kids love to play with boxes too!
How wonderful! I actually have a lot of boxes to get rid of! I think I will let them create something with them!
Boxes are the best. So many things that can be done with them, and it lets the kids be the creator of whatever they can imagine. Love this!
It’s amazing how much creativity can come from just an empty box. My kids love coloring on them as well!
Cheap too. Boxes may be the number one toy in the country.
hahaha, how cute and a great toy
Boxes are by far a child’s favorite toy. I think it opens up their imagination even than the toys we buy!
My kids love playing with boxes. We receive visits from the box man a lot and there are plenty fun moments in my house. 🙂
When my son was younger he loved building forts from cardboard boxes. So fun!
HA, ha, ha… isn’t it great how kids imaginations work?
I love how creative kids are! My son made an airplane out of a marketing box the other day. Too cute, and loads of fun
My kids love playing with boxes! You can learn so much from things that are completely free!

We love used boxes here too!!! Actually for her third birthday we made my daughter a kitchen set out of boxes! =)
This looks like so much fun!
My son used to love playing with all kinds of boxes. Thank you for reminding me.
What an inventive way to play…we used to use the old voting booths, cardboard to make tunnels. Good to know we don’t always have to buy the most high tech toys.
