I am a stickler about what my kids drink, they mostly drink water and homemade fruit and veggie filled smoothies. On rare occasions do I allow them to have juice and if I do let them have juice it’s watered down. I have found a juice that I would allow my children to have more than on rare occasions: V8 V-Fusion Refreshers!

v8 refreshers

V8 V-Fusion Refreshers not only light but a crisp juice drink with a 20-25% blend of fruit and vegetable juices. Made with both fruit and vegetable juices, V8 V-Fusion Refreshers are naturally sweetened, containing no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives and provide an excellent source of Vitamin C.

There are so many juices on the market that are filled with sugar or sugar substitutes this is the reason I opt not to give  those juices to my children. With the V8 V-Fusion Refreshers there is no need to be concerned of that! Getting my children to eat vegetables has been a constant battle for me that is why I mostly hide then in smoothies but with five children sometimes making a smoothie is to time consuming so a great way for them to get vegetables is in this juice and they do not even realize how healthy it is!

v8 nutirtion facts

Not only are the V8 V-Fusion Refreshers low in sugar but calories too! Then the bonus is the combination of vitamins and minerals from the blend of fruits and vegetables.  My children’s responses were yummy, can I have more? I would have to agree with them, I especially enjoyed the Peach Strawberry blend myself. It was sweet and not overpowering.  My kids enjoyed the Black Cherry Berry blend, I am not a big fan of cherry myself but I thought it tasted good too! Not only are they make a good drink but Popsicle too, pour some in a Popsicle mold and freeze – fun for the whole family to enjoy!

  1. I love your idea of using them for popsicles. Thanks for sharing!

  2. This is not a good or healthy alternative due to the high sugar content. You should look into low sugar drinks or fruit infused waters as a healthy alternative for your family. Since you advocate health, you should not sell out to just any advertiser!

    • Lara – I am sorry you feel that way. I hardly allow my children to drink juice. I do feel that it is a healthier option than the other sugary juices on the market. I appreciate your input but I am not selling myself or my family out. You are entitled to your opinions just like I am mine. Thank you.

  3. Looks like a great drink! I usually make my own juices at home. A juicer is a must for us 🙂
