KID CREATED 4TH OF JULY NOT YOUR TYPICAL WINDSOCKS

Our family had some friends and their children over for dinner over the weekend. I love doing crafts with my kids and so does my friend so I scouring Pinterest of coarse! I found a cute Fourth of July craft to do with all of the kids, I did change it a bit to materials I already had and put my own spin on it.

Materials:
Empty cans (from soups, etc.)
A drill
Ribbons (red, white, blue)
Foam or white acrylic. paint
Blue acrylic paint
Hot glue gun

Drill 2 holes in the bottom of the can (which will now be the top) space the holes about an 1/2 apart.
Then have the kids paint the cans blue and allow to fully dry.
Once dried you can have them paint white stars on the blue can or you can use foam and make star cut outs and hot glue them to the blue can.
Next thread through the 2 top holes a ribbon and tie a knot.
Finally the hot glue the ribbon on the inside of the can, alternating colors. The ribbon will hang long ways outside of the can.
Allow all the fully dry and then hang from your favorite tree!

When you have a slight breeze the ribbon will sway and make a nice Fourth of July decoration to your yard!
