We homeschool all year long with just a bit of a lighter schedule during the summer. We will be mostly focusing on reading this summer, handwriting (my son will be starting cursive) and science. I want to incorporate some really fun activities for my kids this summer into not just learning but just to be silly and enjoy ourselves.
Here is my “bucket list” to do with my kids.
Arts / Crafts
Water chalk art
Spray bottle art
Make Pet rocks
Ice Cube paint painting
Tape nature bracelets
Make new garden stepping stones with my kids hand prints in them
Disc Sun catchers
Sidewalk Chalk Art
Help my son finish up his comic book / bind it for him
Make a mini dollhouse with my daughter

Summer reading program at our local library
Sign up for other several reading programs
Read daily
Library programs

For a Rainy Day
Make paper airplanes
Make a huge fort / tent in my boys room
Use our microscope and look at all our items in our nature box up close
Board games
Play hide n’ seek
Make a Milk Jug Ball Game
Have a tea party
Marble Maze Game
Indoor Camping
Play in the rain

Food Related
Make fruit shapes with cookie cutters
Make raw food recipes
Make grilled pizza’s on the grill
Make homemade soft pretzels

Make a homeless bag stash to keep in the car
Helping others in need wherever we can
