ACTIVITY JAR FOR KIDS — PLUS SHARED PRINTABLE

I decided to come up with something different in our home for my kids. Yes, I homeschool but there are somedays when we do not have a field trip, playdate or anything else scheduled other than homeschool. We do have playtime but I wanted to come up with something with activities we do not do on a regular basis. So I created an “Activity Jar”. This jar has several activities listed on individual small pieces of paper. For the days we are home and our schooling is done I will rotate my 3 older children to have a turn to pull an activity out of the jar. These are activities that we normally do not do all the time. What’s in our jar?
Hide N’ Seek
Play-Doh
Moon Sand
Bendaroo’s
Build a fort inside our home
Pudding painting
Lite Brite
Crayola Color Explosion Dome
Nature Walk
Outside Scavenger Hunt
Rice Bin
Board Games
We can add to this jar as I come up with new and creative for play.
I made our jar out of an old Jelly Belly candy container. I made a label for the outside and then taped it to the container. For the paper pieces inside the jar that I wrote the activities on I made to share with you! You can print them off  HERE.
What would you include in your activity jar if you made one? Share by leaving a comment!
