Every Thursday A Mommy’s Adventures does a really fun blog carnival every Thursday – read your child a story then accompany it with art!
Since Kindergarten has offically started in our homeschooling, we are doing a bit more art. We read Art’s Supplies:
The Book Art’s Supplies is a fun and creative look at the creative materials used by kids all over the world to make the best art ever. Your family will love the bright and lively illustrations of art stuff that comes alive, helping Art with his Art.
In the book Art uses several art media’s in his artwork, so……….. My son made a picture using crayons, acrylic paints, colored pencils and watercolor pencils that when you paint over with a wet paintbrush turns into watercolors. I told him to draw anything he wanted & he drew a picture of God with really big arms. When I asked him why God had big arms he said because he touches the earth and makes everything! His answer was so innocent and humbling, wish I could see God’s smile!
