Valentine’s mailboxes

A Mommys Adventures does a really fun weekly blog carnival on Thursday’s. It’s called stART
You read your child a book and then accompany it by art!
This book was really cute, the little girl in the book keeps the hearts that rain down, she mails them to her friends.
Our homeschool group is having our Valentine’s Day party tomorrow so I picked up at Target in the $1.00 section the little metal Valentine’s Day boxes. At the party the other kids can put my children’s Valentine’s in my kids mailboxes.
I painted all 3 of my children’s hands & then pressed their handprints on the mailboxes. This didn’t turn out as pretty as I hoped because it’s on a slippery surface + the shape of the boxes. (It was interested doing the baby’s hands because I have never done this with her before) Then I gave the boys different foam stickers (animals, hearts, etc.) to decorate their boxes. My oldest spelled his name on the side of the box by himself & did a very nice job! I helped my toddler with his name, he did the rest. For the baby my oldest decorated her’s! We had fun doing this & can’t wait to use them tomorrow at our party!
