Fruit of the Spirit – Love

Love is…………………..

I decided to pick love 1st for the 1st Fruit of the Spirit because of Valentine’s Day. We have been reviewing it for over a week. I picked out in JJ’s Children’s Bible the following verses & we read each one daily.

I choose verses that teach about us to love & how God loves us.

John 3:16 – Jesus Loves You
John 10:11-14 Jesus, the Good Shepherd
Matthew 19:13-14, Mark 10:13-16, Luke 18:15-17 Jesus Loves Children
Ephesians 3:18-19 God’s Great Big Love
Colossians 3:23 Working for Jesus

1st we made a Love is…………… tree 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
I cut out a tree trunk & braches, strips of paper & a heart
I had my son write on each tree branch what love is

Then I had him write out what love is from 1 Corinthians 13:4:7
We are going to keep our love tree hanging up all year round so I can refer my son back to this tree using  God’s word to for teaching & instructing.
I also printed this Jesus loves me mini book for him to color & staple together for him to keep.
