MATH BLASTER REVIEW & GIVEAWAY

From the makers of JumpStart, Math Blaster is a new futuristic online adventure packed with wacky aliens, high-tech gadgets and, of course, math! As new recruits at the prestigious Blaster Academy, your kids will play arcade-style math games and race through high-speed missions with the help of a cast of characters that are out of this world! After learning the ropes in Blaster Academy, new cadets will join the Intergalactic Space Patrol (ISP), an elite team of Blasters sworn to explore and protect even the furthest galaxies and deepest black holes of the universe. Armed with the most advanced gadgets and fine-tuned math skills, the cadets of the ISP will travel to exotic new planets, discover bizarre alien races and face extraordinary challenges!
There are many places to explore once you launch the math game, most of which function similarly to arcade games. Some of the main highlights are the Academy, Red Alert, and Ready Room. The Academy is where Cadets build their math skills by undergoing Blaster Cadet Training and mastering hundreds of math lessons including: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, fractions, and many more! Some highlights of the Academy are: HyperCycle Training, Zapper Turret Training, Alien Wrangler, and Bolt Cruncher. Another important feature is Red Alert, which is an emergency call of duty for all cadets to help protect the space station from enemy forces and space debris. When the emergency alarm goes off, tell your children to lead their Blaster Cadet into one of the three Red Alert portals to play a fun shooting game. Lastly, Cadets can visit the Ready Room to watch featured movies and learn the history of Math Blaster and Blaster Cadets.
                                                                                      My Review:

My 6 year old son constantly complains about homeschooling, he doesn’t like school so I try to look for fun, hands on ways to teach him. Even though he is quite good at math, I like to find games for him to play and Math Blaster is perfect for him to play because he is learning as he is playing. For instance he is playing the addition portion of the game which is timed which makes him have to think quick on his feet. Math Blaster has several games to play, the child playing also has the opportunity to use their creativity in the game making up their own character and earning rewards at the same time.
