Homemade Shaker Eggs

I am a pack rat, every year when my extended family gets together they do a Easter egg hunt for all the kids and every year I save the eggs. What baby doesn’t like music? I took 4 plastic eggs & found various things to put inside, glue them shut with a thin piece of tape ALL the way around the egg opening so that none of the very small pieces come open  PLUS I WOULD ONLY LET MY BABY PLAY WITH THEM UNDER COMPLETE SUPERVISION.
purple egg – a plastic conical anchor
light pink egg – small beads
hot pink egg – lentil beans
green egg – brown rice
I used different items inside each egg so that they would make different sounds. So now when my baby and/or toddler play with them they can enjoy the different sounds they make!

  1. What a fun idea! Kids would love those.

  2. I made those for my pre school class and they loved them.

    Thanks for sharing.
    Have a great Easter !!!!!

  3. What a fun idea. I made listening eggs this year but will have to do this next year when my son is a little older. Thanks for linking up on Tot Tuesdays last week. I hope you’ll join me this week for another party. Happy Easter!
