VALENTINE’S CRAFTS — THRIFTY ONE’S TOO!

MOSAIC HEARTS

My kids and I made mosaic hearts – I printed (googled heart coloring pages) found one to our liking, printed it, gave the kids red paper. My toddler ripped the paper into small pieces, my 2 older boys used scissors and cut the paper cut small. Cut out the heart fromt he coloring page, then glued the red paper on oboth sides of the heart. My son wrote a Bible verse on his – Love covers all wrongs. Proverbs 10:12. Then I hole punched them and hung them from our glass sliding door – we can enjoy one side of the mosaic and the neighbors can enjoy the other side!

VALENTINE BOX

We are having a Valentine’s Day party with our homeschool group and was asked to bring a bag per family or a box for our kids to get their Valentine’s in from their friends. So I rescued from our garbage an Uncrustables bulk box. I traced each side on paper and cut it out and had the kids decorate the paper, we glued it on the box to cover up the product information.
My oldest – his hearts, my 2 year olds
My 4 year olds – he says it’s a race car track
Then I cut out an opening of the top – I did not glue it closed so that we can get their Valentine’s out easily. I used 3 rubberbands wrapped around each side to keep the flaps closed then had the kids deocrate with stickers.

Viola! Our homemade Valentine goodie box!
