We have a very small back patio, I sold our large sandbox because it took up too much room. My boys like to play in sand so I came up with another solution. I went to Walmart & bought 1 bag of blue sand & a Rubbermaid plastic bin, threw in some toys (which we already had – cups, etc.). My boys love it! When they are not playing with it on our patio I keep it in the garage that way no moisture or bugs get into it even though it has a lid on it.
Today my toddler liked to pour the sand from container to container.
Then I had them close their eyes & I buried all the plastic animals (dinosaurs, spiders, frogs, etc.) & I had them do a little race to see who got the most.
