I saw this idea on Homegrown families Blog. What a great thrifty way to use the Christmas cards after your done displaying them! I took them off my door (these are cards that friends & relatives mailed to us for Christmas) I like to hand them up then I usually throw them away after Christmas is over. This year we got alot of photo Christmas cards (those I save) so the regular cards I cut off the inside of the card w/ an exacto knife. Then on the cards I cut out random squares out of the cards w/ my exacto knife.
I store them in a ziploc bag. I laid them on the floor this morning – both my boys matched the missing squares to each picture. – They loved playing this! The next batch I make I will make harder for my preschooler because it was too simple for him.

I love this idea! Thanks so much for sharing. The only problem is I just threw away all of our Christmas cards!! My son’s second birthday is coming up, so those will be some fun cards to make puzzles out of.
