Obedience as a parent is very important to me. God’s Word clearly states: Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6  Going to church, praying with my children and reading God’s Word to my children is vital in our home. We open our Bible’s and read and discuss from it but for my littler one’s it can be complicated.  One of the resources I use is God’s Big Plans for Me Storybook Bible because it is more on their level of understanding.

God’s Big Plans For Me Storybook Bible illustrates the 40 foundational principles written in the #1 New York Times bestseller The Purpose Driven Life (What on Earth Am I Here For?) by Pastor Rick Warren. This amazing book is filled with child-friendly language, engaging illustrations, and a chronological approach.  Pastor Warren introduces each Bible story with a theme that aligns with one of his foundational principles. He wraps up the stories with a closing thought targeted to early readers. The colorful illustrations and narrative tone bring these beloved Bible stories to life for readers young and old.

As I read God’s Big Plans For Me Storybook Bible to my four year old daughter she actually sits still and listens.  She typically is not the sit and listen kind of child but this book definitively gets her interest.  I think it’s because the stories are short and are on her level and with the short question at the end of the reading it prompts me to get her her thinking.  Not  to mention the brightly colored illustrations would grab anyone’s interest!   God’s Big Plans For Me Storybook Bible makes a great gift for Easter! It can be purchased for approximately $17.99 at Zondervan, Amazon or Barnes and Noble

  1. I love this! I tell my children that just as they get chastised for being disobedient, God chastises Mommies and Daddies too!

  2. I love your heart and willingness to share God with your children. Not all kids have the blessing of growing up on a household like yours. Awesome! Awesome!

    • Awe thank you. I did not have that as a child so I am so happy that God has changed my life as an adult so that I am able to share His love with them.

  3. We have a similar Bible that my kids have enjoyed at that age. Thanks for the review!

  4. I’d love to take a look at this book. It seems to be something I’d like to have for my daughter.
