My family just started our summer break. We typically homeschool all year long but this year I decided to take the month of August off and start our new year the first week of September. This year we will have four homeschoolers; 6th grade, 4th grade, 2nd grade and kindergarten. All my curriculum has been ordered and I am anxiously awaiting for it to arrive in the mail so I can get my kids workboxes set up as well as getting myself organized and prepared.
This year brings new opportunities for my family. Along with 15 other families we are joining a classical homeschooling group. We have quite a large group with approximately 40 children. Our group meets two times a week and will be teaching history, grammar, science, Latin, physical education, health, writing and more! Each mom will be teaching two classes. Most of us moms have quite a bit of preparation and planning for our classes which many of us are wrapping up these final few weeks before we start up in September.
I have never created a syllabus before so it has been a learning curve for me which I have enjoyed. My 28 week syllabus gives the parents and students instructions on their weekly tasks in the class. I have also been assigned the responsibility to create a seven week progress report for the parents to see how their child is doing in the class. Children seem to be more encouraged when they are rewarded which is something I plan on doing for my classes.
A resourceful tool for me to use with my classes as well as my children at home is the Teacher Rewards Kit. This kit is amazing! All 1,565 pieces! This kit contains 60 award certificates (3 different designs – 20 each) 300 notecards (3 different designs – 100 each), stickers 1,130 total and bookmarks (3 different designs – 25 each). All of this comes in a sturdy box which is great for home or in the class!
I plan on using these rewards on a bi-weekly basis for my presentations class. I look forward to starting our new school year off and using The Teacher Reward Kit. The Teacher Reward Kit can be purchased from Walmart in the back to school section for less than $10.00! Are you a teacher, this kit is for you! Do you know a teacher this kit makes a great gift too!

I love this idea! I’ve always loved back to school time as I really wanted to be a teacher when I was a kiddo! I would love to make one for a back to school teacher gift:)
Your home school group sounds like a great resource. I know when my kids were in school I appreciated the teachers preparing a syllabus so the kids knew what to expect. The Teacher Reward Kit looks like it will be the perfect addition to your teaching routine.
this looks and sounds great. love your photos
That would be perfect for a teacher and quite handy. What a thoughtful way to show appreciation!
What a great deal for $10. I have to admit that when I was a student I loved rewards like these! 🙂
I love that reward kit! I could even use it just to reward the kids for getting homework and chores done!
Giving that as a gift to a teacher is a great idea, they buy a lot of things with their own money so I like to donate things they can use.
I love your teacher rewards kit! It’s so well organized. Any teacher would love it!
That’s such a cute idea. Kids always work better with positive reinforcement.
