I love doing hand print crafts with my kids especially around the holidays. I admit I am sentimental so I keep them all too just like my mom saved all mine from when I was a kid. This year my kids made these sweet hand print crafts in their Bible study classes. Their hand prints were the manger portion and then Baby Jesus laying on top of the hand prints.
Materials:
White card stock
Brown washable paint
Yellow Paint
Off white card stock
White fabric
Black marker
Yarn or ribbon
Make a circle out of card stock ours was 4 X 4. Out of the off white card stock make a small circle for the head and an oval for the body of Baby Jesus. Paint the child’s 4 fingers (excluding the thumb) with brown paint and press the fingers down upside down in the center of the circle. Once dried glue the head and body on top of the hand print and make the face with the black marker. Paint yellow around Baby Jesus this is the straw. Finally cut an oval piece of white fabric a bit larger than the card stock body and glue it over the body (this is His swaddling blanket). Around the circle the Bible verse Luke 2:7 is written down.
An ornament that will hang on our Christmas tree’s for many years to come! What cute holiday hand print crafts have you made lately with your kids?
