My family enjoys gadgets. Our older children, my husband and myself each have our own tablets. We purchased our kids tablets as learning instruments in our homeschooling. Our kids have not just educational apps installed on their tablets but other fun games as well. We recently installed three fun apps: Penguin’s Playground , Polar Bear Playground and Baby Animals: Cute and Cuddly Animal Babies — all three apps are by SeaWorld® Kids.
Penguin’s Playground features 18 playful penguins! This app includes interactive games like “Match the Penguin” and “The Penguin Puzzle” to engage the creative minds for children. Kids can also watch funny video clips of penguins strutting their stuff in “The Penguin Walk” and slipping and falling in “Watch Your Step!”. Also meet penguin chicks, newly hatched in “The Chicks Have Arrived” and an adorable, fluffy Emperor penguin hatchling who is learning how to talk (with a little coaching from a SeaWorld aviculturist) in “The Emperor Penguin Hatchling.” Create a perfect animated Antarctic penguin habitat and more!
The Polar Bear Playground features thirty activities all about polar bears. Kids can watch videos about the “jet setting polar bear” and the polar bear who likes ice cream! Read along with the digital book “Polar Power” and learn all about how polar bears are amazing, large powerful animals. Join animal ambassador, Julie Scardina, and learn how polar bears hunt and eat.
Who does not enjoy baby animals? SeaWorld® Kids has produced an app full of activities highlighting the lives of adorable newborn animals. In Baby Animals: Cute and Cuddly Animal Babies meet Cupid the newborn giraffe in a clip from The Wildlife Docs™; say “baaaahhh” with newborn baby lambs born at Busch Gardens, and see a dramatic Sea Rescue episode where an orphan killer whale is reunited with his pod!
We have SeaWorld® Kids apps already downloaded on my iPad that my children play frequently. These are not just your run of the mill apps with all three of these apps children will be entertained all while learning and having fun learning about animals. Each app offers:
Watching the high definition videos of animals in their natural habitat was one of my kids favorite features, they watched all the video’s 1st!
Educational e-books that highlight words as they are read to you which is perfect for beginner readers.
Puzzles with 4 difficulty levels is great because even my little ones can do the puzzles.
The image galleries are filled with stunning pictures of animals.
Memory/matching games that encourage cognitive development which is my preschoolers favorite!
Coloring activities with special stickers allowing children to create their one of a kid pieces of artwork.
Interactive games to create, save and share customized animal scenes with friends and family.
Penguin’s Playground, Polar Bear Playground and Baby Animals: Cute and Cuddly Animal Babies are all available for FREE download for iPad or iPhone devices. A great app to have for children during holiday travels!
