Cirque Du Soleil – Amaluna A Must See & Giveaway #Amaluna #IC

“I participated in a campaign on behalf of Influence Central for Cirque Du Soleil. I received tickets to Amaluna to facilitate my post as well as a promotional item to thank me for participating.”

My husband and I have been to five Cirque Du Soleil shows prior to having children. Two in Las Vegas, Nevada and three in Miami, Florida. Can you tell that we love these shows? Recently we had the opportunity to go to Amaluna with three of our older children (this being their 1st experience) in Miami, Florida.

Every Cirque De Soleil experience has a story behind the show, Amaluna invites the audience to a mysterious island governed by goddesses and guided by the cycles of the moon. Their queen, Prospera, directs her daughter’s coming-of-age ceremony in a rite that honors femininity, renewal, rebirth and balance which marks the passing of these insights and values from one generation to the next.

In the wake of a storm caused by Prospera, a group of young men lands on the island, triggering an epic, emotional story of love between Prospera’s daughter and a brave young suitor. But theirs is a love that will be put to the test. The couple must face numerous demanding trials and overcome daunting setbacks before they can achieve mutual trust, faith and harmony.

Amaluna is an exciting fast paced show with a little bit of everything from a live band, gymnastics, a story line and acrobatics all rolled into one amazing show for the whole family to enjoy! Not only does the show have so much to offer but the costumes and make up are art forms in themselves. Even sitting in the middle section my family was able to see the details on the actors costumes, make-up and the show itself.  It is all flawless.

To top it off the show is housed in a big circus type tent giving you the experience of a magical show under the big top! Once inside the tent it’s like being in a circus with circus type foods as well as a nice selection of souvenirs geared to the show.

Amaluna is roughly two hours long with an intermission. If you attend with children I highly recommend getting up and stretching your legs during the intermission so that children do not get restless during the second half of the show.

I am thankful to have another wonderful Cirque Du Soleil experience and that our children were able to enjoy the show as much as my husband and I did. Have you had an Cirque Du Soleil experience?

In the Miami area? Amaluna will be showing in Miami, Florida until January 25th 2015.  I highly recommend adding this show to your bucket list.
