When my oldest was born nine years ago and myself a new mom I had so much to learn. One of those was to find out the hottest kids shows I stumbled across a fantastic singer, Lauire Berkner on Nick Jr. who was featured in nearly all episodes of the channel’s Jack’s Big Music Show. My son was immediately memorized from the moment on. Fast forwarding all five of my children enjoy her music, yes even my nine year old!
Now Laurie Berkner currently stars in the animated musical short-form series Sing It, Laurie! on the Sprout preschool channel (owned by NBC) and makes regular appearances on Sprout’s Sunny Side Up Show. Yes our family watches this too!
For years we have enjoyed her on television and now we are enjoying her on her new CD – The Ultimate Laurie Berkner Band Collection.
The Ultimate Laurie Berkner Band Collection is the follow-up compilation album to The Best Of The Laurie Berkner Band, which has consistently been a top-seller on the children’s music chart since it was released in 2010!

The moment I received the CD in the mail my children could not get me to open it quick enough and pop it in the CD player. We spend quit a bit of our time in the car so we leave this CD in the car and listen to it just about every car ride. We love the upbeat musical instruments and lyrics of each song. Laurie’s songs are mostly made up of small stories that hold children’s attention with the fun and silly lyrics. Their favorite song on this CD is The Cat Came Back from Whaddaya Think of That? (they call it the cat song). Whether children just want to listen to music in the car, at home, dance and get the wiggles out this is definitely the right music CD to do it to!

My kids would have loved to listen to this when they were little. Now — they are teenagers and cringe when I even think of bringing up little kid music!
My kids used to LOVE her when they were little. We loved seeing her live, too.

I’ve never heard of her but I’m quite sure my grandson would love her music. He loves instruments, music and to dance.
Laurie Berkner is a really great artist. Her songs are really upbeat and positive. Plus, she lacks the distinct creepiness that some children’s artists have.
Laurie Berkner is definitely fun to listen to, especially for kids.
She is so good. Even if I didn’t have kids, I’d listen to her.
When I asked my daughter her favorite song she said, “All of them!” ha!
