We recently traveled with extended family for a nice long 4 day weekend. My kids enjoyed spending time with their cousin. They spent many hours in the pool, playing and just being kids. I had a surprise for them though. We had a Rio 2 night scheduled.
In our hotel suite the 6 kids sat and watched Rio 2 for the 1st time on my iPad. Before I started the movie I gave the kids Rio 2 goodies. Each child had a nice Rio 2 beach duffle backpack, colored pencils, activity pages, toothbrushes, toothpaste, bracelets, magnetic picture frame, Kleenex and Rio glass clings.
Then it was time for the show to begin! Rio 2 was the perfect summer movie especially a must see with traveling. Eight bird friends travel to the Amazon to to find other birds of their kind and along the way they encounter many adventures. such as playing soccer, running into villains and much more! The kids enjoyed the movie because of the comedy and how action packed it was!
Movie Synopsis: The cast of the animated hit comedy Rio returns — along with a new flock of all-star voice talent, including Bruno Mars, Kristin Chenoweth, Andy Garcia and more — in this high-flying sequel for the whole family. The party continues when Blu (Oscar nominee Jesse Eisenberg, Jewel (Oscar winner Anne Hathaway and their three kids take a walk on the wild side and embark on a colorful, comical, music-filled journey through the Amazon. As Blu tries to fit into his new surroundings, he goes beak-to-beak with the villainous Nigel, and meets the most fearsome adversary of all: his father-in-law!
Rio 2 was one of the kids biggest highlights of the whole trip! Rio 2 is available on DVD / Blu-Ray 7/15. Pick up this movie for your summer travels!

How fun! We never got a chance to see this in the theater,so we still need to see it!
My kids have been wanting to see this movie. I will have to check and see if it is on Amazon Instant Video to rent.

Spending time with cousins is time to be cherished as a kid! And keeping them entertained is vital to the grownups sanity! My kids love this movie!

I usually like kid’s movies better than adult movies, too! They’re much more entertaining.

I saw this with my kids at the theater. I would have loved to have all the swag to go with the visit! How fun! The kids look like they are really enjoying their travels as well!

Awh! I love Bruno Mars so I’m curious to see how he did in the movie. We really enjoyed the 1st and I actually forgot about them coming out with a second- will have to see it.

We absolutely LOVED this movie!! I still think Rio #1 was better- but I loved the singing in Rio #2 as well!
