planes fire & rescue

Planes: Fire & Rescue is a new Disney comedy-adventure about second  chances. Featuring a dynamic crew of elite firefighting  aircraft devoted to protecting historic Piston Peak National Park from raging wildfire.

When world famous air racer  Dusty (voice of Dane Cook) learns that his engine is damaged  and he may never race again, he must shift gears and is  launched into the world of aerial firefighting. Dusty  joins forces with veteran fire-and-rescue helicopter Blade Ranger (voice of Ed Harris) and his  courageous team, including spirited air tanker Dipper (voice of Julie Bowen), heavy-lift helicopter Windlifter (voice of  Wes Studi), ex-military transport Cabbie (voice of Captain  Dale Dye) and a lively   bunch of brave all-terrain vehicles known as The  Smokejumpers. Together, the fearless team battles a massive  wildfire and Dusty learns what it takes to become a true  hero. Directed by Bobs Gannaway (“Secret of the Wings”) and produced by Ferrell Barron (“The Fox and the Hound 2”).

This was a great movie! It gives a great message for children to hear. Just when you think your dreams are gone not to give up. Dusty didn’t give up while his dreams were put on hold to help another in need.

Meanwhile he pushed on and pushed on until finally his dreams came true! For adults there was quite a bit of humor such as a boat hitched up to a truck called ” Boat Reynolds”.  The story line was heartwarming, entertaining, fun and definitely applicable to daily life!

  1. We’re looking forward o seeing this… I think I’ll like it as much as the kids. That’s almost always the case, with cute cartoons. 🙂

  2. My kids are DYING to see this movie. I think we are going to wait for the crowds to die down a little, though.

  3. R U S S says:

I saw the trailer of this movie a few weeks ago and it looks nice. P is very very excited to see this and if he likes it, guess I’m watching it. After all, no one’s too old for a Disney film, right?

  4. This will be a fun movie to get when it comes to DVD…nice casting as well….

  5. Bonnie @ wemake7 says:

  6. I am excited to watch this with my nephews! They love these movies.

  7. Chrissy says:

My kids are looking forward to seeing this and so am I. We love Disney 🙂

  8. Looks like such a cute flick. The kids are so excited for it!

  9. Is this the second installment of Planes? I wasn’t able to watch the first part so I don’t know the story. I like to watch this because it’s somehow like Cars which my son loves so much!

  10. Paula Parker says:

Wow! Disney did a great job on their animation again. Thanks for the info on the movie and all the great photos. Looks like a must see.

  11. It would have been great to see the 1st installment of this movie. I had not even heard of it until recently when across my feed came mentions of this Disney movie. I love Disney and even if I had no children I would go and see it.

  12. My kids didn’t care for the first planes movie. But I’m hearing great things about this one. Definitely going to have to watch.

  13. Jessica Peeling says:

This looks like a great kid’s movie! I know so many kids who love Cars.

  14. These films are so cute! Thanks for the review. I’ll try to see this one, time permitting!

  15. This is a great movie for kids. Not only does it teach them not to give up on their dreams, it teaches them that sometimes it’s okay to put your own agenda on hold so that you can help someone who really needs it. The world needs more heroism and less egoism!

  16. I can’t wait to see this! I love Cars and Planes. My son loves them as well! HAHA I am such a sucker for children’s movies!

  17. Sounds like this is going to be an amazing movie experience! Really looking forward seeing the Planes!

  18. I’m not sold on it. Given the cost of ONE ticket is 15$, I will wait until it shows up on Netflix.

    • I am not sure what movie you go to but normally tickets start around $7.00. It is a cute movie and sometimes it’s nice going to the movies especially when it’s a good movie like this one.

      • I didn’t mean to say your review wasn’t convincing. I merely meant to say that a movie here costs 15$ (this is the lowest cost for us) so to take the whole family would be a 50$ investment which is very steep.

    • The movie is such a lovable one for kids to see and learn from what it teaches them!
Yes, the tickets could be costly, especially in some places like California, but this review focuses on the Value of the Feature Film and character building we’d like our children to learn from it.

  19. My husband is taking us next week to watch this movie. My kids are very excited and of course me too.

  20. It’s funny that these movies are geared for kids, yet somehow I always end watching and enjoying them… and I don’t even have kids! Lol Can’t wait to watch this one, love the message it has! 🙂

  21. This looks like an adorable film that even my hubby and I might enjoy =)

  22. P and I saw the trailer of this film a couple of weeks ago & he’s so excited about it. It looks we’re watching it when it opens in theaters. We’re never too old for Disney films, right?

  23. This looks like the perfect movie to bring boys to, though I think my daughter could also enjoy it too.

  24. Maria Oller says:

Me nephew is harassing everyone in the family to see who will take him earlier to watch the movie,he loved the first one.

  25. My kids are looking forward to seeing this movie..

  26. Rebecca Swenor says:
