Patriotic Toe Nails

I hardly ever paint my finger nails and toe nails. When I do paint my toe nails it’s really fast and I leave it on until it mostly comes off over a duration of months. It’s not that I do not want to it’s just lack of time. Since our family will be enjoying a nice long weekend at the beach and pool I decided to paint my toe nails but a different way then any other way I have ever painted them! I painted them red, white and blue to celebrate 4th of July!

4th of july toes u

I would have never thought of ever taking pictures of my feet and putting them on my blog but I was happy how they turned out and I wanted to share how easy it is to do! Now I know they do not look professional by any means but it was my 1st time ever painting a flag on my toes and to top it off my 5 kids were in my bathroom watching me so there was pressure!

All you need are red, white and blue nail polishes. I also used a clear top coat. First I painted the big toe nail white and allowed it to dry. Then I started the red, white and blue pattern on the rest of my toes.  Once the big toes dried I painted a blue square in the upper left had corner of the nail. While that was drying I painted second coats on my other toes. Then I went back to the big toe nail and painted the red stripes. The stripes are not really straight but that was the hardest task of all! Then I painted little white dots in the blue square as the stars. Finally when everything was dry I did a top coat, viola!

What do you think?  Give it a try and have patriotic toes too this 4th of July!
