We had a homeschool field trip this week across from the beach, after the field trip was over a few of us moms went over to the beach park and had lunch and while the kids played on the playground they found this — a hermit crab. It was about the size of your fists. We have never seen one of these up close like this before. It was a neat experience except for one of the kids how got pinched by it when she picked it up!
The colors were so pretty, reds and purples………………

These are such interesting creatures of nature, it reminds me when we were little my oldest brother and cousins getting them from the beach and playing – Fun memories..

They sell these gizmos with painted shells at the festivals. All the poor creatures want is to be left alone.

Our grandkids found hermit crabs a few days ago when we took them to the tide pools. They loved it!
