I was sent plain white t-shirts for our Disney Side Party for the kids to decorate. They sent fabric markers accompanied with it but I decided to do something different.
Materials:
Plain White Shirt
A Spray Bottle
Food Coloring
Mickey Mouse Silhouette
Scissors
Water
Cardboard or Newspaper
First things first get a clean empty spray bottle, fill the bottle about 1/2 way full adding about 10 drops of food coloring to the water. Then lay the t-shirt on a flat surface (we did this in the grass) in between the t-shirt I placed a piece of cardboard so that they coloring would not bleed onto the backside of the shirt. The Mickey Mouse silhouette I printed off and cut out and then placed in the center of the t-shirt. I highly recommend using cardstock to print the Mickey Mouse on if you are using it to make more than one shirt. The first shirt we did turned out great but using the same Mickey Mouse on the 2nd t-shirt was so saturated that Mickey Mouse didn’t come out so great. The the kids sprayed the front side of their shirts, spraying over the Mickey Mouse and surrounding areas.
Now kids have their own personalized Mickey Mouse shirts, they also accented their shirts with the Fabric Markers. The picture below is my 6-year-old son’s finished t-shirt.
The kids loved this. If you search on-line you could find different Disney characters and make different Disney t-shirts!

Those really are super cute and very creative. We had our Disney Side party this very weekend. So fun.
What a cute idea. When we were in Disney in October, I paid a small fortune for matching Halloween Mickey/Disney shirts off of someone on Etsy. I might try to make shirts for our trip this summer.
What a fun idea!
How cute! We were trying to think of a way to do a simple tye dye with ours but could never figure it out. This would have worked.
Oh, now I want to see what a tie dye shirt would look like too! LOL!
What a cute idea. Love how they turned out.
What a great idea for a family rip! And easy enough even I could do it!

What a fun DIY project. The step by step seems really simple and fun to do with kids.
What a unique idea! I love that it’s so affordable AND the kids can help make them.
That is a really cute idea! I love the tie-dye effect, but after you get a few tie-dye shirts they all kind of start to look the same. This is going for the same sort of thing, but so different! Love how they turned out!
Cool and cute at the same time. My little one would love a little Mini on her t-shirt. I should try it for Easter with a bunny shape.
What an adorable idea! My kids would love if we did this when it gets warmer out!
What a fun Disney inspired idea
Such a cute idea! I wish I was more creative and crafty!
Such a clever idea! This gives the kids a starting point and then they can add their own spin on things!
I love this idea. I have a few t-shirts left from my Disney Side party. I’m going to give this a try.
I love this. I is adorable.
Love these! My youngest is a Mickey and Minnie nut so I’ll be doing this for a beach shirt this year!
Oh I love this project! It gives them such opportunities to be creative and no two will look the same.
What a great DIY idea! I can’t wait for my baby to be older so she can enjoy little activities like this.
I love this! The blue is perfect! Stopping by to let you know that you’ve been featured at Nap-Time Creations weekend features! Thanks for linking up to Create Link Inspire! I’ve spread the word all around social media, would love a reshare or two :o) Please grab a button from my footer if you don’t already have one. Emily
What a great idea! I’m sure the kids will love this. Especially with the different characters so everyone can choose their favorite.
What a cute and safe idea for a silhouette shirt. I’ve seen ones done with bleach water or dyes that I wouldn’t want my nephew to get his hands on, but this would be a fun project for him (what is it with boys and squirting water?!) He would love the magic of seeing the Mickey Mouse that he “created”. Looks like the kids had a lot of fun!
I just love this craft, perfect for Disney BDay Parties and little girl get-togethers, or just a project. Thanks for sharing,
Super Cute! Can I wash the t shirt afterward without damaging the colors?
