Bubble Wrap Art – Learn & Link (With Linky)

I admit it I am a hoarder! I hate to throw things away! I get so many packages in the mail from blogging an in most of those packages are items wrapped in bubble wrap. Yes my kids love to take them out of the package and pop them and stomp on them like most kids would but I put some aside in my art cabinet and had a whole another use for it.

I came up with an idea for my kids to make bubble wrap paintings.

Bubble Wrap Art 1

Materials:

Finger paints

Large paper

Variety sizes of bubble wrap

First I cut large squares of the smaller and larger sized bubble wrap so that each of my kids would have both sizes of their own.  My kids finger painted the bubbles and then flipped them over and pressed them into the paper creating their own bubble wrap print designs!

My eight year son did really well while my younger three children kind of did their own thing, with bubble art and finger painting too!

The bubble wrap is a great material for kids to use create their own masterpieces!

  1. This is a great decoration idea for a bubble-themed birthday party:) I’m going to share it on my pinterest board on the topic:

  2. I have to admit that I, too, am a bit of a hoarder. I’m always sure that the items I save will come in handy at some point. Unfortunately, I’ve gotten a bit forgetful since having kids, so I may not remember where I put that amazing thing by the time I go to use it! 🙂

  3. Such a great idea. i too feel like I am overwhelmed with empty packaging and bubble wrap. Maybe I should donate it for crafts for my church!

  4. That is a brilliant art project idea!

  5. I love how you put that bubble wrap to such a fun use! You are very creative.

  6. I feel like a horrible Mom. I hardly ever let our son paint in the house. He’s done horribly with crayons and markers in the past.
But now you’ve made me think about maybe letting him paint outside so I don’t have to worry about the carpet and the walls.

I have so much bubble wrap floating around the house. My kids love popping it too, but I bet they’d love using it to make art too!

  8. Never even thought of using it as an art project. Thanks for the tip

  29. Cynthia Cover says:

How fun for the kids, I never would have thought about this, you are very creative!

  30. Erika Messer says:

OMG – I have GOT to try this for my daughter! She has a thing about bubble wrap – I brought home her bday cake today and it had a lollipop on top of the cake and it was wrapped in a little piece of bubble wrap – she went nuts over that instead of anything else LOL! If I gave her a box filled with bubble wrap it would make her happier than any toy she could ever get! So she would adore doing this project 😀 Thank you for the awesome idea!
