DIY your own veggie/fruit wash.
Filtered or purified water
Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap (I use unscented)
Spray bottle
Fill the spray bottle with the water, add 10 drops of the castile soap. My spray bottle is 22 fl. oz. that is why I used 10 drops. If your spray bottle is smaller you would add less drops to your liking. Then give the bottle a shake, put the spray top on and your ready to go! Cleans dirt and wax off your fruit and veggies!
I was spending a lot of money on store bought veggie/fruit cleaner and decided that I could make my own for a fraction of the cost!
So many great uses for castile soap. I love this simple recipe. Thanks for sharing it.
Do you know if this also gets rid of pesticides on fruit and veggies that are not organic? Thanks!
I do know that it cleans, getting off the waxes and dirt. For instance apples it takes the wax off.
