DIY your own veggie/fruit wash.
Filtered or purified water
Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap (I use unscented)
Spray bottle
homemade veggie cleaner a
Fill the spray bottle with the water, add 10 drops of the castile soap. My spray bottle is 22 fl. oz. that is why I used 10 drops. If your spray bottle is smaller you would add less drops to your liking. Then give the bottle a shake, put the spray top on and your ready to go! Cleans dirt and wax off your fruit and veggies!
I was spending a lot of money on store bought veggie/fruit cleaner and decided that I could make my own for a fraction of the cost!

  1. So many great uses for castile soap. I love this simple recipe. Thanks for sharing it.

  2. Do you know if this also gets rid of pesticides on fruit and veggies that are not organic? Thanks!

    • I do know that it cleans, getting off the waxes and dirt. For instance apples it takes the wax off.
