I ran out of French’s Onion’s to use as my breading on our chicken one night, which my family loves. So I looked through my pantry, what was I going to do? No time to run to the store. So I decided to use crackers as the breading.
Used:
Wheat Thins
Eggs (whisked up)
Seasonings (Basil + Thyme)
Boneless chicken breasts
In a big Ziploc bag I poured in the Wheat Thins and then used my mallet to grind them up.
Dipped the chicken breasts in the egg
Added the egg dipped chicken in the Ziploc bag and shook it getting all the Wheat Thin coated on the chicken breasts.
Baked in the oven on 425 for 45 minutes
Viola! It was actually good – easy and a great alternative breading when you run out of bread crumbs or French’s Onions!
