This week has been hectic for me, we have been out on playdates, co-ops, etc. all week so today I cancelled our plans & stayed home. I decided to do our own “Valentine’s party” – just my kids & I! We did have 2 Valentine’s Day parties with both our homeschool groups but my kids are off playing with their friends & us moms chit chatting with each other. Sure my husband & I will enjoy actual Valentine’s Day with our kids but I wanted it be just a day spent with my kids & I – and NO homeschool!
We started off my a hand eye coordination activity. I gave them each wooden spoons & 1 candy heart chocolate, they had to walk with it from the livingroom, thru the kitche, thru the hallway & back to the livingroom without the heart falling off the spoon.
Then I made them a tent in our livingroom (it wasn’t a very good tent) ok, it was a horrible tent! None the less my boys liked it. In the tent my kids opened their goodie bags from a Valentine’s Day party we had with one of our homeschool groups yesterday, they looked at all their nice cards from their friends. I read them their Bible, then I read them the following books:

looks like you had lots of fun with the kids..:)stopping by to say, hi!

What a fun day! I love the jello hearts! So cute!!
Hi. Just found your blog through blog hop and signed up to follow. I love reading about other stay-at-home/homeschooling moms. I’ve also delayed vaccinations as well. Can’t wait to read more. Jamie
Love the candy on the spatula game. That’s a great idea for hand-eye coordination and so much fun!
It looks like they had a wonderful time! Happy Valentine’s Day!
Oh we have those heart molds. Never thought to use them for jello! Looks like a fun party 🙂
