Tuck, Munch and Alex are a trio of inseparable friends whose lives are about to change. The homeowners in their Nevada subdivision are being bought out by the builders of a new Interstate. Their neighborhood is being destroyed by a highway construction project that is forcing their families to move away. But just two days before they must part ways, the boys begin receiving a strange series of signals on their phones. Convinced something bigger is going on, they team up with another school friend, Emma, and set out to look for the source of their phone signals. This leads them about 20 miles into the desert where they discover a small robotic alien that they name Echo who has become stranded on Earth. In need of their help, the four friends come together to protect the alien and help him find his way home. This journey, full of wonder and adventure, is their story, and their secret.
This movie is a heart warming journey, full of adventure, bravery, excitement, and friendship. A family friendly movie for audiences of all ages. There are some great lessons taught in this movie as the children stick together and experience an adventure they have never experienced before. I like the message of this movie which is the importance of friendship and keeping true to one’s word.
