We have certain staple foods in our home, a definite must have! As a big family we are on a weekly basis purchasing; milk, almond milk, eggs and cheese. I like to start my families day off with a healthy meal of the day and I feel that dairy products offer certain vitamins and minerals that cannot be found in other foods.
Our typical breakfast in our home is cereal which requires almond milk or I make bagels with cream cheese, scrambled eggs, pancakes or waffles. None of these items are useless without milk or eggs!
My kids enjoy helping me cook so I get them involved when possible. One of their favorite recipes they enjoy making are their own personal pizza’s made with tortilla wraps, pasta sauce and shredded cheese. Simply spread some pasta sauce on a tortilla wrap, add shredded cheese and bake in the oven for about 15 minutes on 350! This is an healthy alternative to ordering a pizza!
I find that refrigerated foods found at the grocery store are not just farm grown but they add convenience for a busy mom of 5 but most importantly they offer a healthy balance to our diet. The refrigerated dairy aisles offers so many great ingredients that you can use in any meal of the day and even snacks in between like yogurt, cheese slices or pudding!
