Last week I took my kids to the nature center and then afterwards we went by the lake to feed the ducks. When we pulled up the kids were disappointed because there were about 2 ducks in the water (usually there are about a dozen of them). So we decided to feed the fish from the dock with the left over bread we had. I felt like we were in a movie – you know the movie by Alfred Hitchcock — The Birds? Kind of creepy, I felt like we were in a Sci-Fi movie. From no where about 100 or so birds were flying over us wanting the food. My kids were throwing the pieces of bread up in the air and the seagulls were catching them. Thankfully we left with out hair and shirts clean — if you know what I mean! The pictures do not do much justice, there were so many!

Whao..so many birds.. I would be frightened to see so many of them.
We like to feed the ducks too! When we go there is usually a couple but then a couple dozen will fly in. I don’t like it when the seagulls come. They kind of scare me.

I would freak having that many birds that close. Plus I would be scared they’d poop on me lol. Looks like the kids had fun though!

We have a park near us that has a pond full of ducks and the boys always love it when we go there with a loaf of bread and feed the ducks!

My husband loves to feed the seagulls when we go to the beach. They swarm over him like that. I prefer to keep away from them, haha.

HA HA HA – That is a lot of birds! We think the same thing every time we see a bunch of birds all in one spot, it’s like should we run for it or take our chance 🙂

LOL! Yeah, they aren’t shy, huh? We live on the lake and we have a bunch of ducks/geese that come swimming over when we go out since they’re used to us feeding them!

What an experience for the kids! I like feeding birds too with my kids, but usually tamer ones like ducks in the pond…
My 3 year old and I almost got attacked by a swarm of birds. So I get freaked out when I see a lot of them anywhere.
Seagulls are definitely opportunists!
I love the beach. I wish I was there now, it’s so dang cold out.

OMG I think i would have gone crazy we went fishing the other day and a duck followed us the entire time quacking.

That happened to us when the girls were really little and we had bits of food come out of their stroller and the seagulls all came flocking. My aunt and mom were with us and we all freaked and jumped back into the van! Since that time we are very leery of them. It’s unnerving when they do that. I think my aunt or mom got a splatter on their shoulder, otherwise we were good to go on that front. But ewwww…

Yep, that is a lot of birds, and for sure make you think of the movie! We were in Florida in November and it was like that after my oldest KEPT FEEDING THE SEAGULLS! I kept telling him to stop, but it didn’t work!
