My seven year old son has been wanting a skateboard for awhile and every time we are at a store with skateboards he reminds me every time how badly he wants one.

The only ounce of knowledge I know about skateboarding is the name Shaun White. The only reason I know this is because my son has some of his clothing. With this bit of knowledge I felt it was time to get him a skateboard. After months of seeing cheap and chinsy skateboards at various stores I decided to purchase him a Shaun White Supply Company skateboard from the Thrash Series.

My son and I headed for Walmart because I heard they just recently released this new skateboard line and was super affordable.

I was hoping that there would be a huge selection of these skateboards but the salesperson told me they are flying off their shelves. They had a large display with this new line and they took it down and just put the last few left on their shelf so we were limited to the graphic choices. Quite a few of the choices had skull and cross bones which our family refrains from buying so after going through all the choices we selected a graphic that would work for us.

My son was super excited to get to finally get this skateboard, now he can finally skate with his friends and the skate park!

I was amazed at how nice of quality these skateboards are for prices only ranging from $39 to $69! We chose a skateboard that was on the lower end of the price because this is his first skateboard and I wanted to see how he would do with it.

I was surprised how quick he picked it up. He fell a few times so safety gear is highly recommended. Thankfully he wanted this skateboard so badly that he is so determined to get it!

The Thrash Series Skateboards have an advanced geometric truck design which were made by Shaun White himself! Our particular skateboard is made of maple and has increased durability 54mm wheels.

Then of coarse my 5 year old son wanted to do what his big brother was doing so he gave the skateboard a try too, I am sure I will be going back to Walmart to purchase another Thrash Series skateboard for him too!
