ON THE GO LEARNING ACTIVITY BAG PART 2 (TUTORIAL INCLUDED)

As some of you know I posted my 1st on the go learning activity bag LAST WEEK. What prompted me to make these bags was for because we are attending a homeschool co-op every Thursday for my kindergartener, I need to keep my 3 year old busy during this time so he is not dis-ruptive. Well, last week was our 1st week using the learning activity bag – it worked! He loved it. He even LOVED using his back pack! I have to say, he felt so special & so excited to get these activities in his back pack, everything he got he had never seen before, it’s going to be hard to try to do this weekly. There will have to be a time when I will have to use what I have & just alternate!
off to our co-op & time for him to use his learning activity bags!
Here is this week’s on the go learning bag!
Magnetic Doodle Balls
Animal books
Bus board book w/ matching bear number pegs & board
number Toy Story puzzles
(not pictured) Adam & Eve coloring page (that is our Bible lesson for the week)
Homemade activities (tutorial)
Felt Shape Snake
(I have seen this around on other blogs, but I made mine a bit different – not using the typical squares but animal shapes too & looping it up for closure)
This is a fun learning activity – great for dexterity too!
you will need:
 felt cut out pieces
ribbon
button
cut out animal shapes out of felt
slit an opening thru the center of each cut out, cut your ribbon to the desired length, sew a loop “handle” on one end & a large button on another. I did something on my own I haven’t seen on the internet was to make a button hole on my handle so that way when my little ones are done threading their shapes on then none the pieces will fall off.
Can’t wait for him to see it when we get to our co-op for him to use!
Check back next week & see what else is in our on the go learning activity bag!
Also come link up Monday 8/16 — show me your homeschool curriculum! Then on 8/23 — link up to my show me your homeschool classroom / organization! Hope to see you there!

  4. Looks like some great activities! I need to make a button snack for our road trip next month!

  5. I love this idea! This is my first year homeschooling. I will have a kindergartener (5 yrs) and a preschooler (3 yrs), this is great for keeping him busy while having him feel as though he has his own special stuff to do.
