Mama to 5 Blessings wrote this post on the behalf of Disney for the Disney Tween Fam Blogger Event. Mama to 5 Blessings received Disney accommodations, attractions, entertainment and meals for an honest review.
When my family goes on vacation one of the essentials I bring is camera. I enjoy capturing our memories that last a lifetime. Sometimes it gets too much though. With five children in tow, strollers, snacks, drinks, diaper bag, etc. sometimes a camera is just one more added thing I really do not need to bring. Like always Disney has thought of everything and understands what it is like having children and not wanting to worry about lugging a camera. They made a convenient, practical and wonderful solution called the Memory Maker.
This amazing new way allows you to enjoy unlimited digital Disney PhotoPass photos captured at hundreds of locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort—including select attraction and dining locations such as posing together in front of Cinderella Castle, screaming down Splash Mountain, hugging Mickey Mouse and so much more.. The photos are conveniently connected to your online Disney account with a touch of your MagicBand or card.
My tween and I recently went to Disney World and took advantage of the Memory Maker. Disney definitely captured these precious moments. Some of these moments were on rides. It was funny to see our facial expressions and poke fun at each other and guess what they are my photo’s! I can print them off and reflect on these special moments for years to come.
Have you used Disney’s Memory Maker before? If not I highly suggest it for your next visit to Disney World!
See more Mama to 5 Blessings / tween Disney magical fun!
I used to get the photo pass photos every year when we went, but now I just hit people up to take photos with my own camera.
Robin, that is great to do however, you cannot really take photo’s on the rides – Disney can do it all for you!
We don’t do thrill rides, so I have never even been in a position to buy a ride photo, so it works for me 🙂
Robin, It is not just for the rides. 🙂
We always splurge and get the memory maker too, it makes it so much easier to capture all of the great photos!
Next time we head to Disney, wish I had a date, we will definitley look into this. If you don’t get professional pics someone is always mssing from the picture, usually mom
Maria, I agree we have the same issue too.
I haven’t tried the memory maker, nor have I been to Disney yet. I may be going in 2016.
Terry – That is great, you will enjoy yourself! Enjoy! There is so much to do! If you have tweens you would be amazed at how much is offered that I did not realize!
I have considered it. It’s just so expensive, and I figure we can buy an individual ride photo if we want to. Cast members will use your phone/camera for other shots.
Heather I understand however, you get a lot of photo’s with them and buying them individually can be pricey, it is more cost effective to get the Memory Maker. Plus they take photo’s that you would not be able to get using your camera.
I love the Disney Memory Maker. It is so convenient while you are there!!
What a great idea! When we plan a Disney vacation, we’ll definitely be taking advantage of this.
I so agree on this idea. So much.
What a fun option. Do you know ahead of time where the photographers are stationed? Or are the spots for photographers (not on thrill rides) clearly marked with a sign or station?
They are everywhere, but the majority of them are either with characters or in front of the big things like the castle at the MK.
What a fantastic idea! Definitely need to keep this in mind for our next trip.
I will also keep this in mind when we finally go on vacation there. It’s important to be informed while on vacation.
We didn’t get the memory maker this last time we went and now I wish we had! You have such fun pictures and it looks like you had a great time!
That roller coaster picture was awesome!! I’d like to have one with Tinkerbell. That reminds me of the parade. 🙂
Bwahahaha. I love how even on the roller coaster, your son is like, “OMG, Mom!”
Jennifer, yeah I am pretty loud on roller coasters, I scream and laugh!
I love the Photo Pass idea! It’s so awesome to be able to take those photos and print and share them as many times as you want instead of just taking home one set.
Your photos are priceless! I love the beautiful scenary and then the roller coaster one is awesome. Your son must have felt so special on this special trip.
If I ever go to Disney I will definitely use the Memory Maker–but–you will not catch me on one of the thriller rides!!
Whenever we finally get to take the kids, I want a photo pass. What a fun investment!
That is a wonderful feature! Not only does it allow you capture those special moments without having to worry about your camera, but it also allows mom, who is usually the photographer to be IN the pics!! 🙂
That’s such a good point about mom being in the photo for a change. That’s important!
The memory maker service is really cool. It makes it so much easier to get great photos for the collection.
I didn’t know about this “service” until we arrived. I had my own camera for our trip, and decided not to buy any of the Disney Memory Maker photos, mostly because I felt it was so expensive. Looking back, I wish I had budgeted for it because there really were some great photos!
Next time Jessica!
Oh how awesome! I would love photos on rides. I have yet to go to a Disney Park though, hope to some day son! How fun. That photo on a ride is a riot!
Love the photo of you two on the roller coaster! I’m always the photographer so I’m never in the pictures!
That Picture of you and your Son on that ride is really funny. I like this feature .. its so practical and you know its quality because its Disney
We love the memory maker. If we spend more then one day at Disney we get it sometimes. It’s the best.
This looks like a great way to enjoy your trip more and spend less time trying to capture the moments, while living in them. It looks like some priceless memories were caught on film with the Memory Maker!
This looks like a fun way to make great photos. I am hoping to get to Disney this year.
I never even knew that this was an option!? I always just ask random people to take my photo.
WE sure have and it’s awesome. Great way to capture the memories.
This seems like a great way to preserve memories. We forget when we are watching our wallet that these moments can be priceless as the years go by. I wish they had this when we took our children almost 20 years ago. Now its virtually impossible to get all 3 in the same location.
That is a great idea. The people at Disney definitely nickel and dime you.
I finally used the Memory Maker and will always do it from here on out. I loved it so much that I convinced a random lady at Disney to use it on her next trip.
I can’t say that I have ever heard of the Memory Maker service before. But, that’s a great way to memorialize your Disney trip without having to lug a camera around!
We have gotten it both times we went and love it! I like that you don’t even need a card to scan now, it just uploads to your magic band!
I haven’t used it yet, but this is my second time seeing it and loving it. I definitely want to use it when we go back.
Wow, things sure have changed at Disney since I went as a kid! This is such a neat idea, and I didn’t know it existed til now. We will definitely look into this the next time we go to Disney!
I have not been to Disney in years and was unfamiliar with the PhotoPass concept. I love the picture of you screaming on the ride. Hilarious!
How great is that!! I love the photo of the two of you on the ride. We haven’t used it yet, but maybe next time!
These are such beautiful photos and keepsakes. They will be treasured memories for years to come.
That’s so cool! A great way to actually enjoy the park without having to be busy snapping photos.
Awh! That looks like so much fun! I’d love to go.
You can never go wrong with Disney-fying your photos! I love playing with the memory makers they have 🙂
I saw this last time we went to Disneyland. Though we were most of the way through our trip when one of the workers finally said something abut it and gave us a card. Great idea though.
This sounds so awesome, what a great thing to do while in Disney!
Oh what fun. We haven’t been to Disney yet, but have plans to in the next year or so. This memory maker sounds awesome.
This is such a great incentive to going to Disney World! No one can capture those candid photos like someone looking from the outside. One less thing to worry about! Love this!
What a great way to get those precious photos. I will make sure to check it out next time I visit
I love this idea. Using this I would be in more of the pictures instead of taking all the pictures.
we are hoping to get to disney this year, i know the kids would love it!
I haven’t been to Disney for years, so I had no idea there was even such a thing. I’ll definitely have to remember for the next time I go though.
Nicole – that is so cool – no we’ve not used Disney’s Memory Maker – not been to Disneyworld – BUT. next time (soon) that we go to Disneyland, I am going to ask if it’s available there, also! Thank you –
And what a handsome tween you have – great photos of you both having so much fun 🙂
Disney is a favourite picnic spot for my whole family. I love the memory maker and it is a great way to capture sweet memories. The pictures you have placed here looks very funful and awesome. It sounds like you had a great time.
I have a few of those scary photos! Lol. Somehow my kids always look calm in them
We’re going to Disney this summer and I can’t wait to use this service. They take the best photos!
How have we not used this?!? We’re passholders and this would be so useful!
I love buying all the Disney pics! I have a few hilarious ones from Tower of Terror!
