Our family loves Disney so when we were selected to host a Disney Side party we were thrilled to be able to share our love of Disney with some friends. The weather has been so beautiful out that I wanted to use the great outdoors as our party place! Being that we live in beautiful South Florida I hosted my party outdoors at my neighborhood park. The kids stated off by playing on the playground. While the kids played they took turns making a small craft: Mickey Mouse Popsicle Bookmarks. We braked to place pin the mouth on Mickey Mouse. Having the youngest go first. I had chosen the closest boy and girl as the winners. Then it was time for lunch. I made the kids Mickey Mouse peanut butter and jelly sandwiches along with popcorn and apples while the mom’s had salad. For the sandwiches simply make the peanut butter and jelly sandwich and then press the Mickey Mouse cookie cutter in the middle of the bread. The larger the bread the better so you do not get the crust. Keep the crust for recipes later. Then the kids enjoyed the Mickey Mouse cupcakes I made.
- 1 box of cake mix
- 1 container of chocolate icing
- 1 package of small Oreo cookies
- Mickey Mouse cupcake liners
- Prepare the cupcakes as instructed on the cake mix packaging. Allow to cool and then frost the top of the cupcakes with the chocolate icing. Frosting them so that it has a thick layer on top. Add the small Oreo cookies on the top of the cupcakes on top of the cupcakes just before it is time to eat them, if you do them too early they will get soggy. Place them so that they look like Mickey Mouse's ears.
- This is such an easy recipe - no fondant, fancy icing, etc and kids will love them!
Yum
After the kids and moms were all full we played Disney trivia, I was amazed how much children knew about the Disney parks! Just goes to show you how much Disney is well enjoyed!
To host this party I was sent a huge box of Disney goodies to host my party. From games, party favors, baking goodies and more. Before it was time to go I passed out Disney goodies to the kids and their moms to enjoy. The kids had a great time! It was a jam-packed afternoon of pure Disney fun!
