KNIGHTS & CASTLES

We wrapped up our study on Knights and Castles. Our study included a lapbook. Which we accompanied our Bible study with — Armor of God using The Amor of God (A Children’s Scripture Study) by David Walters.

Books I used in this unit study were:
If You Lived In The Days Of The Knights by Ann McGovern
Ms. Frizzle’s Adventure’s Medieval Castle by Bruce Degen
National Geographic Kids Everything Castles by Crispin Boyer

Lapbooks made by my second grader and kindergartner

I printed off The Armor of God coloring pages and used them in our daily Bible lessons.

I also uploaded the following apps on my iPad to go with this lesson:
Knights Castle
Math Castle Lite
Castle Puzzles

Finally out of 2 paper towel tubes and 2 toilet paper tubes my son painted brown and staples in the underside of the tubes formed a castle. Then cut out the top of the longer pieces making the square shape pattern, then cutting out a door, drawing castle windows and adding a toothpick flag at the top.

With blocks and their kit from (SquareOne Kids) they made their own castle creations.
