This week we finished up our lesson on nutrition, healthy habits and the human body.
We used our Giant Science Resource Book quite a bit for this lesson.
This book has reproducible pages, so we did the following………
Photo copied the pages & JJ put it together to form a human body
Then JJ matched the bones to the correct location on the body
Then he matched the organs to the correct location
Then we did a human body lapbook, using mostly materials from Homeschool Share.
On the yellow pocket that holds the human body pieces w/ the bones & organs JJ wrote
Bible verse Psalm 71:6
The favorite part of the lapbook was The Exercise ABC pocket game
These are cards that you read off, for each letter of the alphabet there is an exercise. Here are a few pics of JJ doing the exercises – this was a blast!
K for kick
P for push ups
The books we read this week for this unit study are:
Look Inside Your Body (A Poke & Look Learning Book)
For fun we played operation!
Creating Healthy Habits
I gave JJ a food fun magnetic set by Learning Resources & had him create a healthy breakfast, snack, lunch & dinner.
