14 Rain Related Crafts & Activities For Kids

Do you remember that song from when you were a child, Rain Rain Go Away?

Rain, rain, go away
Come again some other day
We want to go outside and play
Come again some other day

This song basically sums it up lately.  Hurricane season is upon us here in South Florida. It has rained practically everyday for weeks and weeks. It’s hard to make plans that involve outdoors due of the rain.  One thing about Florida is that one second it’s beautiful and sunny out and the next it’s thundering, lighting and raining.  Do not get me wrong, I am not complaining. It’s good for my lawn and my pool but when you have kids who want to be outdoors it can be particularly difficult.

It’s summer, who wants to be stuck indoors? Not us!  We try to get our outside time in when we can but when it rains we can also us it to our advantage by making rain related crafts or doing rain related activities! Why not?

Here is a collection of rain related crafts and activities that you can do with your kids when you are stuck indoors due to the rain.
