Chocolate Covered Candy Corn Pretzels

I cannot believe how fast this year is flying by!  It’s now Fall so it’s time to pull out my Fall recipes an make treats for my kids.  My girl’s particularly enjoy helping me bake so I try to have them help me.  It’s great bonding time plus I put it down as home economics in our homeschooling.

My four year old daughter and I recently made Chocolate Covered Candy Candy Corn Pretzels which is super easy for little ones to help with and takes virtually no time to make!

Chocolate Covered Candy Corn Pretzels

Ingredients:
Chocolate Chunks (I used Hershey Milk Chocolate Nuggets)

Kitchen Gadgets Used:

How To:
My four year old daughter and I made this festive snack together; Chocolate Covered Candy Corn Pretzels. It was perfect snack for little hands to help make.

First I had my daughter individually unwrap each piece of chocolate.

Next I cut each piece in half and my daughter laid them over the small pretzels which we already placed on our baking pan (I used a silicone baking sheet over my baking sheet so that the chocolate would not stick to the pan and makes for easier clean up).

Then I placed the pan in the oven and baked on 325 degrees for 4 minutes.

Immediately out of the oven I placed one candy corn over (pressing down gently) each piece of chocolate on the pretzel. Once that was done I chilled in the refrigerator for a half and hour.

Take out and serve! Makes a tasty holiday treat!  What kind of Fall treats do you make with your kids?

  1. Looks delish! We love to make cut out cookies with candy corns.

  2. Yummy, this will be the perfect way to use up all the leftover candy corn I have sitting around! May be dangerous though – I have a feeling I could easily devour a whole batch without supervision 😉 Such a cute and festive idea, and I bet kids would love to get involved making them too 🙂

  3. What a great idea, and so easy too. My kids would love making these, and it’s a great way to use up leftover Halloween candy too.

  4. You have come up with the perfect solution for using up candy corn that is left over from Halloween. This is fast and easy to make with the pretzels and chocolate.

  5. Anita Anderson says:

I think I can eat about 5 in a minute as these look delicious. Only thing is these would not last with my kiddos around. 🙂

  6. yum these look delicious. I love fall treats, especially around this time. I get pretty creative and think these would be fun to throw into the mix!

  7. Wow these are so yummy. I would love to make this chocolate covered candy, this would be perfect for our Halloween party. Will just add some spooky designs to add some spice.

    • We do not celebrate halloween. We made these as a nice Fall treat but they would be great for any party even changing up a bit for different times of the year with maybe different candy on the top.

  8. Dina Demarest says:

Looks very tasty and looks adorable! My kids would love this!

  9. It’s so easy to make and it looks delicious! It’s a bonus that this recipe is kid-friendly too so the kids can help in the kitchen. I love it.

  10. While it does look like a fun thing to make, and something not too difficult to make as well, I am sure that my daughter would not like this as we are not big candy corn fans. It does look cute though.

    • Thank you. A treat once in a while can be fine. We try not to overdue it with candy either in our home. 🙂
