It would be an understatement to say that Chick-Fil-A is my family’s favorite place to eat.  Does not matter if it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner my family jumps at the chance to eat there! One of our favorite things to order is the soup. The Chicken Noodle Soup and Chicken Tortilla Soup is filled with chunks of chicken and seasoned just right!

The hearty chicken tortilla soup features shredded boneless breast of chicken, navy, northern, and black beans in a white creamy base with a perfect blend of vegetables and spices. Top it off with seasoned corn tortilla strips for a perfect crunch!  While the chicken noodle soup is filled with shredded Chick-fil-A chicken breast, chopped carrots and celery with egg noodles in a hearty broth. Both are amazing for anytime of the year!

So after you have eaten these delicious soups why toss the container away when you can re-use it.  My daughter and I decided to use ours in our front yard.  Here’s how……

We took two Chick-Fil-A soup containers and cleaned them out really well, allowed them to dry.  With an Exact-o knife I cut a rectangle on the side of the bottom portion of the container. Next we painted the black portion of the container with green paint.  Instead of painting it with regular strokes we dabbed the paint on with a paint brush so it gave it a splotchy look.  We were shooting for a camouflage look.

Materials needed:

Chick-Fil-A soup containers

Green acrylic paint

Exact-o Knife

Paint brushes

After we completed painted it we allowed the container to dry over night and then placed the lid back on.  We wedged the critter caves in the tree branches instead of placing them on the ground because if it rained we did not want the caves to get flooded.  Now we are ready of the critters in our yard to have a nice dry place to hide when it rains!

How would you re-use a Chick-fil-a soup container?  The uses are endless!
