DIY Fruit of the Spirit Poster #KidsCraft

When my oldest was two years old (many years ago) someone gave me a wonderful Bible devotional series by David Waters, unfortunately I put it on my shelf and sat for years.  A few weeks ago I was going through my shelf and found it, now my kids are old enough to do it with them.  One book in the series is The Fruit of the Spirit. Once we were done with our study we decided to do a craft together to remind us of the fruits we should display. I scoured Pinterest to try to find something I could just print off but I was not completely happy with what I found so instead I printed off two different crafts and merged them into one.

fruit of the spirit

Materials needed:

Print out 1

Print out 2

Sky blue card stock

Glue stick

Colored pencils

Sharpie

First cut out the tree, be careful of the thin branches then color is. Next cut out all the Fruit of the Spirit print outs from print out 1.  I traced the labeled fruits with Sharpie so that they would pop. The kids colored each fruit and then we glued them on the bare tree branches.  We added other accents to our Fruit of the Spirit poster as well such as some of the extra print outs from the Fruit of the Spirit page.  Finally we displayed it on the kids shelf over their homeschool area.

It is a great reminder on how we should behave and treat others. Have you ever made a Fruit of the Spirit craft with your kids before?

The other two books we are studying this summer are:

Armor of God

Fact or Fantasy

Being a Christian
